Fabrication Process: Stephen’s 953 Mixte

Although Stephen racks up many miles on his bikes, over the years he has developed some functional limitations that have made it difficult for him to get his leg over an typical road bike’s top tube. Because of that, he requested a mixte frame from me. I did a bunch of design and CNC work for this frame - I made custom dropouts, a seat tube reinforcement sleeve, a drive side chainstay plate, lots of bridge reinforcements, and copper badges. The frame is made entirely out of stainless steel, we decided to leave it unpainted… all the better to show off the metal work!
